The Old Mill is located in the countryside of the River Po, near Lake of Garda in the north of Italy. The oldest part of the building was constructed during the 12th century.
Hampson Williams has been required by the actual owners to develop a proposal to refurbish the Mill and proposing it to the British market.
The building and its environs are statutorily protected. However, the ‘listing’ permits a broad range of uses for the refurbished building including but not exclusively for use as a single private residence, a multi-tenancy residence (three or possibly four apartments) or, for commercial hospitality uses such as a small hotel/guesthouse (five or possibly six guestrooms) with restaurant and bar.
Hampson Williams Architects employs senior Italian architects who have in-depth knowledge of the Italian Listed Building and Town Planning systems and the Italian Building Regulations and who are experienced in managing building construction projects within Italy.
